Repromoting The Dilbert Blog

It's really late now, I should be in bed sleeping.
Yet I'm at my computer, chatting and reading.
Today was very blah, for it was all grey and wet,
I wasn't able to read much, something I know I'll regret.
Weathers like these make me lazy, more so than I already am -
I'd feel like napping all day as my brain would feel like jam.
Tomorrow I'll read more, at least I hope to anyway,
or "your progress is slow," is what my professor will say.
At this point I don't think a PhD is for me,
I don't feel enthused - I just want to flee!
To do research itself is something I don't mind,
but only if I feel it is useful to mankind.
Satisfaction is simple, yet so hard to obtain
with obstacles like desire and monetary gain.
My rant for now is done, time to call it a night,
hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow with some new insight.

Oh, if you haven't already, to Scott Adams' blog you should go.
They're usually more interesting than a poem by an average joe.

1 Litre of Tears

Well, turns out I didn't post as much as I thought I would, all due to me trying to get some results so I can actually write a thesis and maybe a paper :/ Anyway, I just finished watching a Japanese drama called "1 Litre of Tears" or "Ichi Rittoru no Namida" and I can honestly say it is one of the saddest story I have ever seen. (Maybe that's why it took me so long to watch - only 11 eps, yet it took me 7 months to finish ><) There's a brief info about it on DramaWiki. It's based on the diaries of Kitou Aya, a girl who was diagnosed of Spinocerebellar ataxia. Although she eventually passed away at the age of 25, her story still lives on in the form of a book and TV series of the same name. Her diaries are also being translated and one such example can be found here.
